- Research activity
- Practice using QuarkXPress to create a menu layout.
- Follow the directions in Chapter 13, pp. 527-553 to combine text and images in QuarkXPress.
- before you start, you might want to skip ahead and read about style sheets (pp. 554-558). It may save you a lot of time.
- Save the resulting files on your storage device. There is no need to print the document.
- Show what you did during the next presentation, earning up to 2 points.
- Lab activity
- Create your own branded flier.
- Use what you learned in this practice session, and reuse work you did previously for your introduction text, business cards, banner, and 3D object, to lay out a promotional flier with your logo and images of your work.
- Refer to pp. 558-562 for additional tips relevant to this project.
- Show the layout with your images and text, and collect up to 3 points more. Keep these files as well, as you'll need them again later.
- Home activity
- Read about the design workflow and typography, pp. 54-61 of the textbook.
- Read the entire Chapter 13, pp. 521-562.
